Bosherston WI have been raising money from their yearly cake stall and various other events throughout the year to purchase a defibrillator for the village, and with the help of the ambulance service, have achieved their goal.

The defibrillator was presented and several villagers and WI members met at the coastguard station for some basic training on its use.

Several members of Bosherston WI unveiled a plaque detailing how Bosherston WI donated the defibrillator in commemoration of 100 years of the WI and the 60th year anniversary of Bosherston WI.

President Sam Wilson said: "All of our members have worked very hard over the past year to ensure that this important piece of lifesaving equipment is available should the need arise. What better way to celebrate two such historic events for our WI.”

The defibrillator is situated just to the rear of the coastguard station.

Bosherston WI meet on the first Thursday of every month in Bosherston.
