To commemorate Valentine’s Day this month we have a display of love-themed books in the library, both celebrating it and warning of the darker side.

We also have a display of books drawn from the Richard and Judy Book Club selections and a display of China-themed books to mark Chinese New Year. All of these books are available to borrow.

If you’re the proud parent, grandparent or childminder for a baby or toddler, then Baby Rhyme Time might interest you; it’s a session of songs and stories for pre-school age children and their adults.

There’s no need to book and nothing to pay, just turn up on Tuesday mornings in term-time (10.30-11 am) and have fun. Half-term starts on February 25, so there won’t a session that week, but it will be back the following week.

Every Monday morning from 10 am to 12 pm we have a free Gadget Drop-in session for those bewildered and bemused by their computing devices.

Just bring your device along and ask Roger your questions. If Saundersfoot is more convenient for you then there are three one hour slots available with Simon on Tuesday, February 19 and Tuesday, March 5, from 10 am; it is still free but advance booking is necessary, so just call Saundersfoot Library on 01437 776050 or Tenby Library to book.

Library members with smartphones, tablets (not Kindle) or computer access can also borrow a wide range of e-books and e-audiobooks and read e-magazines completely for free through the libraries page of the council website www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/using-library-services/247-e-library.

We have a few new books in this month, novels by - Katie Flynn, David Hewson, Dean Koontz and Danielle Steel are in stock, along with new non-fiction titles ‘You are a Badass Every Day’, ‘Helping Your Child with Sleep Problems’, ‘Beastie Boys Book’ and ‘The Practical Guide to Pruning, Training and Topiary’. There is a leaflet with a full list of the new items in Tenby Library available at the counter.

It may surprise you to find out that orange bags and food waste bags are available in the library; just ask at the counter.
