Clr. Aden Brinn recently gave an update report on the Welsh Guards deployment to Afghanistan to Pembroke Town Council which he received from the Regimental Adjutant of the 1st Bn Welsh Guards, Colonel Tom Bonas.

The Welsh Guards were in Afghanistan from March/April this year and returned home towards the end of October.

During their visit, three Guardsmen were killed and double figure were injured.

It was agreed by Pembroke Town Council to write a letter to the Adjutant expressing their condolences of the Guardsmen killed and ones sustaining injuries during their deployment.
