Pembrokeshire County Council activated their flood plan on Tuesday night. Area maintenance crews were deployed in advance of the high tide ready to respond and deploy sandbags where required. Crews were also actively responding to calls on Wednesday morning. The north of the county saw most of the incidents, but as seen from the pictures on this page, areas in the south were also hit.

And it was a similar story on Wednesday evening as several villages and towns were again affected by tidal floods at high tide.

Tides were very high and Wednesday night's waves were bigger than the morning's.

New tidal flood warnings were issued for Amroth and Solva, while tidal flood warnings issued on Tuesday night remained in place on Wednesday for Dale, Lower Town Fishguard, Haverfordwest and the south coast of Pembrokeshire.

As we were going to press yesterday (Thursday), Pembrokeshire County Council told us there was no major disruption overnight and the flood warnings were no longer in place.

"The only issue were stones washed up on to the seafront roads at Amroth, Wiseman's Bridge, Little Haven and Newgale," said a spokeswoman.
