Volunteers have helped build a new wildlife pond at Holyland Wood.

The group of staff from Pembrokeshire College helped out as part of their Make A Difference Day.

The weather was lovely, cake was had and everyone 'got stuck in' to construct the pond which will provide a new habitat for wildlife.

The pond was created as part of a wider education project run by Pembroke 21C Community Association focused on Pembroke Millponds and Holyland Wood.

Keep an eye out for other exciting activities, including holiday activities for all the family and Wild Club - a children's wildlife club run from Foundry House Community Centre during term-time.

The project is supported by funding from Natural Resources Wales and from the Port of Milford Haven.

If you or your group are interested in helping monitor the pond as it develops its own unique wildlife or would like to know more about the project, please contact the millpond education officers on [email protected]">[email protected], pop into Foundry House or call 01646 680090.
