The new session of Lower Landsker Trefoil Guild gets underway next Wednesday, September 6, with a meeting at the home of member Pat Davies at 10.30 am to discuss the programme for the following year (writes N.E.).

It has been a busy summer for the group, beginning with the Race for Life in early July, then our trip to Caldey on one of the hottest days of the year when we even all managed a paddle. We were also so pleased to celebrate Jackie, Lindy and Thelma making their promise on ‘Doreen’s Bench’ on Castle Hill on a glorious summer’s evening, followed by a delicious meal at The Harbwr Brewery.

Following the Race for Life, we have kept up our walking, meeting on Monday evenings to discover all the local walks that many of us had forgotten about, including up to Allen’s View, Giltar, the Nabs and many more. Last week we joined the Soroptimists on their evening walk in aid of Tenovus, and, of course, we have been available to help local units when the need has arisen. All in all, it’s been a memorable summer.

We look forward to another busy and enjoyable year, which will include the AGM of Trefoil Wales, to be held in April 2018 and hosted by Pembrokeshire at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot.

New members are always welcome. You don’t have to have been a Guide or Brownie, just have an interest in helping the local units and having some fun along the way
