A number of areas in Tenby are in need of a tree trim, a local councillor claimed this week.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter said that in light of the trees on the South Parade, which are due to be cut back in October, there were further areas in the town in need of some TLC.

“The trees on Narberth Road are covering the sensor lights on the road, so they don’t know whether it’s day or night, and need cutting back, whilst many householders on St. Teilos and St. Johns Hill are finding that the trees are taking light away from their properties,” she commented, adding that on Bells Corner, trees had started to meet in the middle, which was a concern for high-sided vehicles, with one knocking down a branch the other day, which nearly hit a car.

Clr. Mrs. Rossiter asked if the town clerk could take the necessary steps to inform the county council on the matter.
