As the final countdown to Christmas begins, enjoy traditions old and new with the National Trust in Pembrokeshire. From a Tudor Christmas to a festive-themed run, the Trust’s special places are celebrating the season with a range of things to see and do.
The Tudor Merchant’s House in Tenby is offering a taste of the past with a traditional 1500s Christmas. Step back centuries and learn more of Tudor festivities - the house is open between 11 am and 2.30 pm on weekends until Sunday.
Or make the most of the great outdoors with a festive fun run around the Stackpole Estate on Sunday from 10 am. The free event starts at Stackpole Quay car park and is open to all ages and abilities; walk, run or jog at your own pace, all whilst taking in the lovely landscape. Santa hats are optional, but there’ll be Christmassy refreshments available at the boathouse tearoom afterwards.
Escaping the hustle and bustle is easy with the Trust’s winter walks too. The coast and countryside the charity cares for in Pembrokeshire is open 365 days a year, so whether you want to burn off those Christmas calories or go for a family stroll, it’s covered.
Of course, if you are still looking for last-minute present ideas and quirky gifts, St. David’s Visitor Centre and Shop is open right up until Christmas Eve and re-opens on Monday, December 28.
