The Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland’s eagerly anticipated autumn charity concert at the Follies Theatre, Folly Farm on Saturday, November 12, is now only just a couple of weeks away and ticket sales are brisk. Some three quarters of the capacity are already sold and the remaining tickets can be purchased from the outlets listed below.
The concert will feature leading Welsh tenors Rhys Meirion and Trystan Llyr Griffiths, along with the renowned Whitland and District Male Voice Choir, together with highly-promising young local singers Sioned Llewelyn and Esyllt Thomas (soprano) and Aaron Kendall (baritone).
Rhys Meirion is currently starring in his Duets programme on S4C, with Friday’s episode set to feature Iris Williams, originally from Cardiff, but now living in New York, where the programme was recorded. At the concert, Rhys will also be performing a duet with Trystan, which is sure to be a highlight of the show.
Trystan meanwhile is flying home for the concert from Zurich, (with the kind permission of the International Opera Studio) where he is furthering his studies and also performing as Beppe in I Paggliacci. Trystan also recently performed to great acclaim at the Last Night of the Proms at the iconic Albert Hall in London.
Whitland and District Male Voice Choir have just returned from a highly-successful tour to the Isle of Man and are very much looking forward to the concert.
All the artists are performing a wide variety of songs which should appeal to all tastes from popular musical theatre, Welsh classics and well-known operatic arias.
