The timing of work being carried out on the harbourmaster office at Tenby harbour has been criticised this week.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Will Crockford told his colleagues that it was ‘baffling’ that Pembrokeshire County Council should decide to erect scaffolding around the building at the start of the summer holidays, so long after the premises was damaged by storms last year.
“The harbour is one of the most photographed places in the UK and now part of the pier is full of scaffolding,” he said.
“It’s baffling! Perhaps we can ask PCC to refrain from working there for the six weeks of the summer,” he added.
