Guide Dogs is celebrating 90 years of helping people with sight loss live the life they choose.
The UK’s first guide dog partnerships qualified 90 years ago, thanks to two innovative women, four incredible dogs Flash, Folly Meta and Judy in a lock up garage in Merseyside.
To celebrate this special event branch member and treasurer of Pembrokeshire Fundraising Branch of Guide Dogs Cymru Sheila Ravenscroft (pictured with branch secretary Eva Rich) is walking three-miles-a-day during November totalling 90 miles at the end of the month.
Sheila is seeking sponsorship via her Just Giving page and is being supported by three of ‘the Silent Monks of the Monastery of Monkstonial’ who will be appearing somewhere different every day during November.
Another event is the Branch’s annual coffee morning at the Boathouse, Saundersfoot, on Wednesday, November 17 from 10.30 am.
£3 entry for coffee and biscuits, there will be a raffle plus Christmas cards and gifts for sale.
