Following the huge success of a fundraising ball hosted last year, the ‘This is Me’ foundation, set up to honour the memory of Tenby local Nicole Ferguson, donated an incredible £2,000 to Wales’ leading cancer charity, Tenovus Cancer Care.
Emily Wells, regional fundraising manager, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Nicole’s family, friends and everyone at the This Is Me Foundation for deciding to make this incredible donation to Tenovus Cancer Care. We also want to thank everyone locally who helped to raise such a tremendous amount in memory of Nicole. This donation will help us support the people of Pembrokeshire and the surround areas deal with everything a cancer diagnosis might bring.”
Donations like this help Tenovus Cancer Care to bring treatment and support right into the heart of communities across Wales. The charity’s services range from a free Support Line, open 365 days a year, offering support and advice to those affected by cancer, Mobile Support Units offering treatments on-board so patients don’t have to travel, financial advice and the Sing with Us choirs.
The charity is also known for funding life-changing cancer research.
