The Mellstock Band, who are well-known in Pembrokeshire, invite you to their Christmas fireside with a seasonal mix of jovial songs, stirring dance music and haunting carols. Better than a bowl of hot punch!
For over 20 years, this group of talented musicians have been entertaining audiences, releasing benchmark recordings, exploring English tradition and providing music for television and film.
The Christmas Hearth celebrates all things comfortable with hearty harmonies, soulful solos and exuberant instrumentals, bringing to life the village band sound of fiddle, oboe, clarinet, concertina and serpent. The music is linked together by carefully selected readings which tell the story of Christmas celebrations in 19th century England.
The Mellstock Band will be performing at Penally Village Hall on Friday, December 18. Tickets from Judy Williams on (01834) 844467 or 07790463417 and at Solva Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 19. Tickets from Carol Ann Jones on 01437 721374 or 07970614233. Both concerts are at 7.30 pm.
