Tenby’s St. Mary’s Soupermen group have had a very busy time (before the lockdown - writes T.E.).
During the year 2019 we held a superb Easter meal, a fifth very successful Church Fete, a well attended Harvest Supper, a most enjoyable Christmas Lunch, a Lent Lunch, a dedicated following of the Six Nations and the Rugby World Cup and two film evenings. We also served wine, soft drinks and canapés and other culinary delights for various church functions.
We feel these events bring the church communities together, thereby strengthening friendships and fostering new ones. Importantly, our efforts have been self financing, which has enabled us to donate £1,000 to the Memory Café, a most worthwhile cause.
We hope this year will be at least as successful and enjoyable as last year, after which we will be in a position to donate further sums to various good causes.
Unfortunately we have had to postpone this year’s eagerly awaited Easter Dinner due to the coronavirus outbreak. As soon as things get ‘back to normal’ we will let people know when the event will take place. Again, a huge thankyou to all who regularly support our functions.
