Tenby and District Camera Club held their third and final open competition of the 2015-2016 winter programme held at St. Florence Community Hall. The judge for the evening was Andy Leslie from Llandybie. He is a freelance photographer with his personal interests being people and places, flora and fauna together with architecture. Andy has been taking images since 1977 when his wife, who came along to the club meeting with him, bought his first camera a Canon AE1. From that moment, he became addicted to this pleasurable hobby, and he quotes, sometimes makes some money. Andy’s work can be seen on his website www.andyleslie.com
Andy gave an honest and clear critique of the 26 images submitted with third place being awarded to Roy Packer ‘My Boudoir,’ second place Dave Bolton ‘Head Strong and Happy’ and the winning print and photographer Mike Cullis ‘Great Egret with Chicks.’
Following the customary coffee and tea break, Andy gave his critique of the 24 digital images submitted, third place was awarded to Dave Bolton ‘Three Up,’ second place Donna McKay ‘Here’s Looking at You’ and first place being awarded to Mike Cullis ‘High Jump.’ Well done to all members who submitted images and in particular to Mike gaining top marks in both the print and digital categories.
