To commemorate Armistice Day, a service of remembrance was held at Templeton Village Green Car Park this morning.
Children from Templeton School attended and read the poem written by the parent of the first Templeton soldier killed during the Great War, Private William Lewis, who was killed at the Battle of the Somme whilst helping to retrieve injured men from the battlefield.
Tea/coffee was served in the church hall after the service and a small display of information about the men who lost their lives in the two wars was on display.
