Three local pupils from Pembroke School were chosen by the Rotary Club of Pembroke to attend a Rotary Young Leadership Award (RYLA) course, reported back to the club recently on their experiences.

Christopher McLaren, Emily Jan Goodfellow and Lewys Wilkes were selected by the Club after a competitive interview process. They attended an outdoor pursuits and leadership skills course at Dol-y-Gaer in the Brecon Beacons during the summer.

The RYLA award is highly regarded by university and employers when included in CVs. The pupils expressed their gratitude to Rotary Club for their sponsorship and emphasised the benefit they had derived from this experience
