Pembroke Dock’s Tesco store took part in the ‘Final Countdown 80s National Charity Partnership’ last weekend running from until Sunday.

This event was held to try and raise £30 million with Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation which are such worthwhile causes.

Thanks go to Sharon Bevans and the brilliant staff who dressed up in costumes and the DJ Lionel Nutting who played songs to everyone’s taste for the whole weekend. As a result they managed to raise a fantastic amount of money, the total being £765.04

“The generosity of the kind public who shopped at Tesco said it all,” saiud a spokesperson. “The people were coming into the store and as soon as they heard the sounds of music, they started singing and when they had finished shopping they came out singing!

“It just goes to show how much people try and help with such important charities.”
