Saundersfoot’s Christmas Festival by the Sea will be adding seasonal sparkle to the lively village’s festive celebrations.
Food, fun, shopping, Santa, music and lights will all feature in Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism’s flagship festive event, which takes place on Friday December 7, Saturday December 8 and Sunday December 9.
Inside the heated harbourside marquee will be nearly 60 stalls featuring a feast of food, drink and quality gifts.
Chef demonstrations, a great programme of entertainment from bands and musicians and Santa’s Grotto all add to the fun of the event, which is heralded with a community lantern parade on the Friday evening.
Saundersfoot’s Christmas Festival by the Sea will be open from 2pm to 7pm on Friday December 7; 10am-7pm on Saturday December 8 and 10am – 5pm on Sunday December 9.
Unlimited admission to the marquee throughout the weekend is £2.50; children 16 and under free.
For more information, see inside this special Observer supplement, go to www.visitsaundersfootbay.com or see Visit Saundersfoot on Facebook.
The Christmas Festival by the Sea is one of many events organised by Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism (SCT) – a voluntary, non-profitmaking organisation with over 70 local business members.
SCT’s aim is to enhance the unique local community spirit and to develop tourism through the provision of events, to create a village for all seasons.#
Members display their membership badge on their businesses, and are listed on the SCT noticeboard on the wall of the Rock & Fudge shop, and the website.
The Chamber’s successful events include the Big ‘Double’ Bang Weekend, which combines the fun and festivities of Bonfire Night and Hallowe’en.
And, looking ahead to next year, the village celebrates St David’s Day with Saundersfoot’s Cawl by the Sea event, featuring the legendary Cawl Cooking Championships of the World….and Elsewhere.
The event, taking place on Saturday March 2 2019, also includes an evening concert at the Regency Hall featuring the renowned Pembrokeshire ladies’ choir, Bella Voce, and the award-winning South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus.
