Through your letters column, I would take this opportunity to share with readers the Christmas lighting plans in Saundersfoot this festive season.

Following a detailed inspection of the lighting columns in the village centre, Pembrokeshire County Council have had to carry out a replacement programme at very short notice. A number of these columns have been used over the years to host the Saundersfoot Community Council framed Christmas lights. The unexpected renewal has not left an opportunity for the Christmas light fittings to be replaced and unfortunately the framed lights will not be in place this Christmas.

Saundersfoot Community Council agreed at their last meeting to support the excellent work of Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism, St. Brides Spa Hotel and Saundersfoot Harbour Commissioners in extending the white icicle lights around the village centre and into the gardens.

The work is already well in hand and the village is looking magical, well done to all concerned, another example of our village working together.
