'Milford Haven is a fabulous place to visit and makes people so welcome, they want to return again and again'. This was just some of the positive feedback from the gala evening held in honour of Seafair Haven Festival boaters on June 27, which was sponsored by Milford Haven Port.

Around 180 traditional boaters, local dignitaries and port managers came together to enjoy this special celebration of the Milford Haven Waterway. Organised by a committee of local individuals and organisations, the Seafair Haven event attracts a host of tourists to Pembrokeshire each year.

The visitors at the gala evening, some of whom had sailed from as far away as Germany, were treated to a drinks reception aboard the historic Earl of Pembroke tall ship followed by a marquee dinner - to the tune of traditional sea jigs from the 'Vagrants Crew' live band.

Jeff Teague, estates director at the Port, said: "We were delighted to provide a warm welcome to these traditional boaters visiting Pembrokeshire. There is so much to offer here, from the Waterway to the dramatic coastline, and we look forward to greeting them again in future."
