Councillors in Tenby have said what a joy it was to witness a ‘transition concert’ for local schools held at the De Valence Pavilion last week.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown told her colleagues that the concert which featured Greenhill School as well as pupils from local primary schools, was ‘amazing’.
“Anyone there would have cried their eyes out! We had over 400 in the audience and I’d like to congratulate Clr. Paul Rapi and all the teachers from the schools involved.
“I’d also like to congratulate all the children who took part in the concert, and it was a joy to see the De Valence filled with children,” she added.
The Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Laurence Blackhal,l who also attended the event, said it was a ‘fabulous evening’ which he was proud to be a part of.
“The organisers at the De Valence deserve special praise for the work done at the building, which ensures a professional venue, and enhanced the experience for the children and the audience, but the main praise goes towards the children and the teachers who helped them get there,” he remarked.
