This weekend sees the annual Saundersfoot run for vintage and classic motorcycles hosted by the Vintage Motorcycle Club’s West South Wales section.
Based at Saundersfoot harbour both days, tomorrow (Saturday’s) competitive run will leave at 10 am, with the first rider away being Tim Simkins riding a 1924 Velocette. who was overall winner of last year’s event.
Following him will be section member Andy Macdougall on a 1925 350cc Royal Enfield, a very competitive rider with numerous wins to his name. Phil ‘Lamo’ Hamersley will be number three away riding a 1926 Triumph.
Following him will be a mix of different British makes, some of which have sidecars attached and others being three-wheel cycle cars. The very popular Lomax three-wheelers and Japanese, Italian, German motorcycles can be seen as well, some of which will have lady riders at the controls.
After a 90-mile route around Pembrokeshire planned by John Webb, the machines will finish back at the harbour from about 3 pm onwards.
Sunday morning will see the previous day’s machines on display from 10 am until noon, with the Concours prize-giving taking place about 11.30. Please feel free to come along and have a look.
