A well-known Saundersfoot Stroller has set about taking on a walking challenge to raise funds for the NHS.
The 2.6 charity challenge was set up this year due to the fact that the London Marathon which should have taken place on April 26 and acts as a great way to fundraise for lots of charities was cancelled due to the pandemic.
As the marathon consists of a 26 mile run, Lyn Sandal has taken up the challenge of walking 260 miles over the next few weeks, which she started on April 26, to coincide with the annual event.
“As a former NHS employee I have decided to try and raise money for ‘NHS Charities Together’ which is designed to help our front line workers involved in the fight against Coronavirus, whilst obviously observing all social distancing and government rules on exercising,” explained Lyn.
“Every little helps to support all those fantastic people who are working through the pandemic to keep us all safe.”
