Saundersfoot Rotary Club have made a donation to fundraiser Emily Batty who will be joining Raleigh International in Costa Rica to take part in their environmental/community work.
Emily has had to reach a target of £2,250 to take part in the project, and so far she has taken on beach cleans, a marathon and numerous other events to raise the money.
Emily contacted the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot for assistance with this, and despite not being able to hold direct fund-raising events over the Covid lockdowns, Rotarians have very generously donated to the Club’s charitable fund which has been able to donate to a cheque for £250 towards her project.
Norman Goddard, President of Rotary Club of Saundersfoot is pictured presenting the cheque to Emily.
Under normal circumstances Saundersfoot Rotary Club fundraises by holding Duck Races every two weeks through the summer months in the harbour and twice yearly with a Pig Roast on the decking.
They also have a stall at the annual Christmas Market; and from these activities the Club is able to support many charities and charitable enterprises, local, national and international.
