At the recent annual general Meeting of Saundersfoot in Bloom, members were warmly welcomed by chairman Keith Williams.

In his report, Keith thanked everyone for the help given over the past year. We are very grateful to Roger Brace and other people, who are not yet members of the committee, for their help and support. Grateful thanks are also accorded to our lifelong president, Duncan Hilling.

Two new members were welcomed to their first meeting, Ann Morris and Anne Parcell.

Officers elected for the next year are chairman - Keith Williams, vice chairman - Joan Allen, secretary - Rosemary Hayes and a new treasurer - Michelle Evans.

The draw for the flower festival took place and organisations will be notified of their position in due course. The festival will be held at St. Issell’s Church from Tuesday, August 7, to Saturday, August 11, with decorating on Monday, August 6.

If you wish to remember a loved one, memorial pew ends will be available at the festival - please contact any committee member.

Judging of the garden competition will be mid-July, with the date to be advised. Posters for the Saundersfoot school competition have been ordered; grateful thanks to them for taking part and for their help in planting the border allocated to the school in the Sensory Garden.

Everyone was very pleased that Saundersfoot had obtained second prize in Wales in Bloom last summer; the entry was made by the community council.

Yarn Bombers, from Little and Large, have very kindly offered to knit flowers to advertise the flower festival. If anyone has any spare wool they do not want, please donate it to Little and Large.

The meeting closed with Keith once again thanking everyone for their help and support.
