Llanion Warriors Rowing Club (based in Pembroke Dock) recently held a BBQ to celebrate the completion of the 2012 Celtic Challenge, where the team crossed the line in fifth place.
This is third time the club has raced in the biennial row from Arklow to Aberystwyth. The event has become the traditional vehicle for club members to raise funds for local charities.
The beneficiaries this year were the Paul Sartori Foundation, the Children's Ward at Withybush and the Sunderland Trust, each of whom received £2,200 in the ceremony held at Pembroke RFC on Sunday.
In the photograph, the team are seen with the representatives from the organisations, Miss Laura Watkins (Children's Ward nurse), Sara Alderman (Paul Sartori) and Wayne Sunter (Sunderland Trust).
