Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild are well on the way to raising a substantial sum for the RNLI from Guild minute secretary, Sandra Thompson's SOS ('Super, Soup and Sweet') event at her home on Friday and Saturday of last week.

Wonderful support from Sandra's friends, neighbours, business support team, Mair Lewis and Carol Clemson, of RWE npower, has secured funds of £550 so far.

This is the fifth year in succession that Sandra and her husband Mac have kindly decided to host the event, which has raised similar funds each year.

Pembroke Guild are most grateful to Sandra and Mac for such priceless commitment to RNLI fundraising.

Pembroke Guild's next event is a concert by Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir on St. David's Day, Friday, March 1, at Pembroke Town Hall.

Guild ladies will serve a cawl supper, Welsh cakes, tea and coffee. Thos attending are invited to bring their own drinks refreshments if they wish. Arrival time is 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start. Tickets are £12 and are available from Daphne on 01646 681437 or any member of Pembroke Ladies Lifeboat Guild.
