Saturday, March 16 will see the much-anticipated return, of nationally renowned comedian, Rhod Gilbert to Pembrokeshire.

Rhod is taking time out of his UK stand-up tour, to attend The De Valence Pavilion in Tenby to host, ‘Pembrokeshire’s Funniest Comedy Quiz’ of 2019.

Proud sponsors, Pembrokeshire Wealth Management, Saundersfoot are inviting teams of six, at £25 per head, with all proceeds being donated to The Velindre Hospital (Nepal Trek), for which Rhod is a patron.

Rhod hosted a similar charity quiz event at Saundersfoot’s Regency Hall in 2017, in aid of The Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff, jointly organised by Saundersfoot councillor and old school chum Anthony Mattick, who is due to fly out with Rhod (and others) this Saturday to Kathmandu, to undertake a week long Trek of The Helambu Pass, to raise money for the cause.

“This is the second quiz in Pembrokeshire that Rhod will have hosted for charity and since becoming a patron for Velindre, he has helped raise in excess of 1 million pounds, and we’re hoping for another sell-out quiz,” said Anthony.

Rhod previously spent a few days working at Tenby’s Fourcroft Hotel back in 2014 for his popular BBC 2 series ‘Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience.’

Doors for the event at the De Valence open at 7 pm until late.
