A spruce-up of Augustus Place Community Centre has been welcomed by the town’s Mayor and councillors.

Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane in her last official duty as mayor before handing over to Clr. Tony Brown, joined her town council colleague Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter and the town clerk Andrew Davies in having a look around the newly refurbished hall last week.

The refurb has seen a new kitchen, female toilets, flooring and windows installed at the facility, which has also been completely painted inside and out.

The hall is available for hire through the town council, with any enquiries to be directed to the town clerk on 01834 842730.
