Last Friday saw the Quaynotes perform a Christmas concert at St. James' Church, Manorbier.

As usual, everyone turned up to enjoy an evening of music and fellowship.

Festive music from the choir, communal carol singing, all expertly moved along by compere Graham Wilcox, made for a perfect night.

Solo items by Val Evans and 'Rocking' Ray Hughes added much to the evening. Carol Cole with her lovely reading of 'What does Christmas mean' brought tears to the eyes, and Ron and Mel kept the Christmas atmosphere going with their version of the old David Essex standard 'Winter's Tale'.

Elaine Griffith and Bronwen Hicks combined beautifully to sing 'Who would imagine a king', before a word of thanks from Rev. Shirley Rainer and mince pies for all brought a grand evening to a festive conclusion.
