Communities across Pembrokeshire continue to show their support for the NHS and front line workers.

In New Hedges a mural simply saying ‘Thank You’ to the NHS has popped up on the side of a property, while another banner appeared in the village at Charles Norris Gardens in support urged people to stay home to save lives.

The Queens Hall venue in Narberth lit up a brilliant blue on Thursday night to celebrate the brilliant essential and front line workers in Pembs and beyond

“Thank you for all the hard work and courage shown by you all - you are all incredible,” they stated on Twitter.

The Ludlow family of Saundersfoot have continued to bang the drum for health care workers, and last week Debbie from the village’s Little and Large Lite Bites baked up a treat to thank the NHS - with even singer Matt Goss one half of the Bros showing his appreciation for the gesture on social media by Tweeting ‘Love to see the kindness - sending my love to all!’

Tenby Town Crier Jim Cornwell once again joined his neighbours in Victoria Street last Thursday (April 9) at 8 pm by ringing his bell along with all those clapping and supporting the NHS workers here in Tenby.

“It’s a small token of our appreciation of all the marvellous work they are doing on our behalf,” he said.

“With a nephew of mine who works on the front line at Lewisham Hospital in London it brings it into sharp focus the huge sacrifice the NHS staff are making every day.”

“Even though we are miles away from large towns and cities, the people of Tenby are doing their bit by following the guidelines and being mindful of others by supporting all those who need help,” he added.

Kindness continued on Victoria Street when Lisa the owner of Ashby House bed and breakfast, delivered Easter eggs to her neighbours on Easter Sunday whilst maintaining social distancing measures. “Such a kind neighbour,” said Jo Lynas of the The Strathmore Hotel next door.
