A national jeweller is bringing the magic back to Christmas with a ‘Wish-mas Tree’ that will make festive wishes come true for Tenby’s most ‘Bah Humbug’ local.
Beaverbrooks has launched the wishing tree after finding that 46 per cent of people felt the magic of Christmas had gone, admitting they no longer look forward to the festive season.
A shocking 30 per cent went as far to say they would like to cancel Christmas altogether – even if it was only for one year.
Off the back of the findings, the family-owned jewellers wanted to restore Tenby’s faith in the festive season, by bringing the magic back to Christmas for one lucky resident.
Locals will be encouraged to submit their seasonal wishes online, with one deserving winner receiving £1,000 to help make their wish come true.
Anna Blackburn, CEO of Beaverbrooks, said: “Christmas is our favourite time of year here at Beaverbrooks. It’s the one time of year where friends and family can all come together and share special, magical moments, so we were surprised to hear that the magic had gone for so many people.
“We wanted to try and bring back some seasonal cheer for those un-festive individuals, and what better way than with an enchanted Christmas tree that can make your wishes come true?
“Whether it’s a big family get-together, a special trip with a loved one, or that dream watch or piece of jewellery you’ve had your eye on – we hope we can spread some seasonal joy to local people and make their Christmas magical.
“We can’t wait to hear what people in Tenby wish for!”
To be in with a chance of receiving £1,000, locals need to submit their Christmas wish online at www.beaverbrooks.co.uk/make-christmas-magical by Thursday, December 7.
In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, Beaverbrooks will be closing its 71 stores on Boxing Day so that team members can spend quality time with their loved ones – a tradition the family-owned jewellers is proud to have maintained throughout its 98-year history.
