Tenby’s Mayor has said that the priority for the town and surrounding areas must be to keep everyone ‘safe and supported’ during the ‘fire-break’ lockdown.
Wales’ First Minister announced on Monday that the short, sharp ‘fire-break’ will be introduced across Wales from 6 pm on Friday (October 23) and end on Monday, November 9, to help regain control of coronavirus.
It will apply to everyone living in Wales and will replace the local restrictions which are in force in some parts of the country.
“I know that everyone must be feeling anxious as we go into another lockdown. Let us hope that it will be as short as planned,” remarked the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall, “and obviously our priority is keeping everyone safe and supported.”
“We have great businesses in Tenby – they helped us last time and I know that they are ready to help us this time too.
“Whether it be groceries, essential supplies or take-away food, I know that Tenby businesses will provide great quality and great service.
“Let’s make sure we support them as they support us.
“Tenby Together Volunteers are ready to help. There are also other groups offering support.
“And we can all help – whether checking on a neighbour or calling a friend – collecting a prescription or picking up some shopping.
“It is a difficult time again but let’s make sure that we see the best of Tenby as we look out for each other,” added the Mayor.
