During the course of normal commissioning activities taking place on Pembroke Power Station site on Monday morning, debris from a temporary silencer resulted in a small fire which was successfully extinguished.

A statement from the company said: "The emergency services attended site as a precaution in line with our site safety procedures and the site was evacuated to allow the incident to be managed safely.

"There were no injuries and no damage to permanent equipment."
