A meeting of the ‘Plastic Free Tenby’ group will take place next week to discuss the next steps to take the initiative forward.

The meeting will take place on Monday (October 21) at 6 pm at the De Valence to touch base and discuss the group’s next steps.

Tenby town council member Clr. Harry Whitehurst has stated that he and local Gary Tapley are very excited to be moving forward with the Plastic Free Tenby group, which they hope will gain some some real momentum over the coming months.

“We’d like to thank Clr. Laurence Blackhall for his hard work with the group and of course everyone involved and everyone trying to make a difference,” said Clr. Whitehurst.

“We want to not only achieve the ‘Plastic Free Community’ status, but also use this group as a platform for other environmental and sustainability initiatives.

“Everyone is welcome - the more people involved the more we can do!”?he said about next week’s meeting.
