Tenby councillors have once again reiterated the importance of the resort having more representation on the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
At Tuesday night’s meeting of Tenby town council, the town clerk Mr. Andre Davies told members that he’d received correspondence from the Authority’s Chief Executive Tegryn Jones stating that they were seeking to appoint three new members.
Clr. Laurence Blackhall and the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, both said they’d be interested in fulfilling one of the roles.
“As the major town in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, I feel we need more representation from Tenby on the Authority,” commented Cl. Blackhall.
“Other individuals in the town, no on the council who could perform that role really well too, might want to take a look at this opportunity as well,” he continued.

Clr. Mrs. Lane said that she quiet agreed, and that it was ‘vital’ that Tenby had more input within the National Park organisation.
