A local councillor has expressed her disappointment at not being informed of a recent meeting to discuss proposals for the land at Brynhir.
Following a meeting last month with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority planning officer Sarah Hirst, members of the town council agreed to lodge a formal objection to proposals to exclude the land from the draft Local Development Plan (LDP) for 2021-31.
However, despite several councillors attending the meeting, Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter who has not given her backing to support proposals for the land to be developed, told her colleagues at Tuesday night’s meeting, that she was ‘miffed’ that she wasn’t informed of the discussions.
“I’ve been very vocal on matters surrounding the land at Brynhir, and people have asked as to why I wasn’t at the meeting on May 22, but I was not informed, and miffed that I was not told about it,” said Clr. Rossiter, who commented that she was concerned that those that have objections to the proposals that the land be developed for housing, were not being heard. “I’ve got to have an opinion on this as well,” she stated.
The town clerk said that the meeting with Ms Hirst was called at very short notice and although he had informed members of the town council of the date via email, unfortunately he had forgotten that Clr. Mrs. Rossiter was not on email.
