Plans to build a house on the site of a builder’s yard in Kilgetty have been refused on appeal.

Last year, Lucinda Munchhausen applied to Pembrokeshire County Council for planning permission at Clayford Road for a change of use from small builder’s yard and workshop to residential and to demolish existing sheds and construct a new house.

The application was refused last November and the applicant subsequently appealed that decision.

Now a Welsh Office inspector has upheld the council’s decision ruling that the proposed development would be ‘unjustified’ in a rural location.

Declan Beggan added that the proposal was also contrary to the provisions of the development plan for the area.
