A large number of Tenby Friendship Club members gathered in Augustus Place Hall for a photo showing talk by David Morgan.
He said he was just an amateur photographer, starting from when he did photography with two other boys whilst at secondary school. They shared a camera between them! Today’s phones take terrific photos and most people carry them all the time. A quick half dozen snaps and a quick delete of ones not so good is so easy. But he said he still likes black and white photos! David’s photos showed how to take a view, and give it more interest by having something in the foreground, take it through a rock frame, use a river or road to guide the eye to the central point. His pet hate is a photo with a sloping horizon, so make sure you get it straight, please! His tip was to count 1, 2, 3 after you have snapped to give the camera time to catch up with you!. Victor presented David with his most favourite thing – a very large block of chocolate as a thank you, and members then kept on asking questions whilst a cuppa was served
Members were asked to bring a unwrapped Christmas present for a child or teenager (add wrapping paper as well) to give to PATCH to give out at Christmas Time. The trip to Swansea on the 30th is waiting list only now, but a cancellation has occurred on the Chatsworth House Christmas trip. Ring Jan on 07563745578. At the 2pm meeting on November 23, Mick Brown is coming to give one of his wonderful travel talks. Members will be singing Carols in the Square on November 26 – wear a Christmas Hat please.
