At the recent meeting of Pennar and Bufferland Community, PCSO 8028 Andrew Griffiths introduced PCSO 8123 Naomi Harrison and PCSO 8121 Blair Evans.
Among matters discussed were the following:
More incidents of the theft of catalytic converters from vehicles - PCSO Griffiths reported that there had recently been two more cases of thieves cutting out the catalytic converter units from vehicles parked overnight, and one person was helping police with their enquiries into this serious matter.
Parking problems in Pennar: Chris John complained that cars parked on the pavement in Castle Street often cause obstruction to pedestrians. PCSO Griffiths said that he would ask the traffic wardens to investigate obstructive parking in Castle Street.

Residents' reservations/ objections to certain aspects of a future housing development: Commenting on Ron Selby's notes on Session 24 of the Examination of the Pembrokeshire Local Development Plan that was held in the E-Commerce building on September 27, Clr. Maureen Colgan said that planning applications have been submitted for something like 220 dwellings in the area around Imble Lane. Traffic problems, doubts about whether the public sewerage system can cope with increased hydraulic load, water supply and land drainage were all discussed. Maureen concluded by saying that she would discuss the content of the secretary's notes at the next meeting of the Pembroke Dock Town Council Planning Committee.
Pennar and Bufferland Christmas decorative lights competition: Once again, the community association would be giving prizes for the best decorated home and the best decorated window. Lesley and Jemma John had been appointed judges for the competition. The winner of the best decorated home would receive a voucher to the value of £50 which could be redeemed in the Red Lion. The winner of the best window would also receive a voucher to the value of £50, which could be redeemed at the golf club.
Remembrance Day wreath laying ceremonies in Pembroke Dock: Several P&BCA members attended wreath laying ceremonies in Pembroke Dock. On Saturday, November 10, Ron Selby laid a wreath at the cenotaph in the Military Cemetery at Llanion on behalf of the Pennar and Bufferland Community Association. On Sunday, November 11, Clr. Maureen Colgan laid a wreath at the cenotaph at St. John's Church, Bush Street, on behalf of the Pennar and Bufferland Community Association.
