Pembrokeshire WI Chairman Jenny Longland recently attended the first ‘face-to-face’(since before March 2020) Wales WI Committee Meeting at Aberystwyth University Library.

The meeting was chaired by the new Chairman Eirian Roberts, who was elected in June this year.

Eirian lives on her family farm in Ysbyty Ifan, a rural agricultural village in the Conwy valley and within the Snowdonia National Park. She has been an active member of Ysbyty Ifan WI for over 50 years.

National Federation of Women’s Institute (NFWI) Hon. Treasurer Jeryl Stone was at the meeting. Jeryl took the positon of the National Treasurer in June 2021, she is a member of the Warwickshire Federation.

The meetings are a great opportunity for all the Chairs of Wales WI Federations to meet up-they happen three times a year and act as a great place for sharing ideas and helping each other.

Jenny took along some of the newly revamped style PFWI Calendars 2022, which are on the theme ‘Sand and Land of Pembrokeshire’, with members from PFWI having taken the photos.

Jenny was delighted when everyone present bought a calendar.
