The Pembrokeshire County Wedding Fair was held at Brithdir Hall, County Showground, Withybush, Haverfordwest, on Sunday March 10.
It was a very blustery day for the wedding fair and a few heavy showers including hail but inside the marquee and hall the cherry trees were blossoming thanks to the wedding fair sponsors Pretty Seats and Bows and The Dazzling Dancefloor, who also offer a full venue decoration service.
Twice a year in the Brithdir Hall at the County Show ground is filled with up to 105 stands with exhibitors whose services help to create wedding days to be remembered.
Frocks and suits, flowers, venues, cars and carriages, travel agents, cakes, decorations, photographers, videographers and photo booths, ice-cream and sweets, celebrants, entertainment, music and magic and more.
It is a chance for people arranging a wedding or big celebration to chat with the many suppliers who are based in Pembrokeshire and its borders
A big thank you for Duke of Edinburgh volunteers from the Paul Sartori Foundation for keeping the exhibitors in tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes! And for providing refreshments for the visitors as they made their way around this big and busy wedding fair.
On the day through the raffle, the volunteers, donations from visitors and exhibitors, over £697 was raised for the Paul Sartori Foundation. Special thanks to Ken Davies of Crymych and the businesses who supplied raffle prizes:
Dave Phillip’s Roadshow; Gentle Giants, Cardigan Shires; LLwyngwair Manor; Lochmeyler Farm ice-cream; Mr Roberts; Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society – The Pavilion; The Fuchsia Caffe; The Galloping Cat; The Incredible How.
The £300 prize draw was won by the lucky Megan who is getting married next year
Presentations of flowers were given to two of the organisers of the wedding fair, Tom and Beryl Hazelden of The Galloping Cat – as they were working on their 57th wedding anniversary!
The Pembrokeshire County Wedding Fair was initiated by a small group of businesses from the wedding industry and the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society in 2006.
Its aim is to showcase at wide range of businesses small and large, established and new, to prove that you can get everything you need for a wedding/civil ceremony – or other big celebrations – from Pembrokeshire and its borders! You can shop locally.
