Jonathan Davies officially took over as president of Pembroke Rotary Club at the annual handover event held recently at the Mencap Gardens, Stackpole. It was a delightful summer's evening when members and friends enjoyed a barbeque with lawn games and entertainment. Special guest on the evening was Assistant District Governor Vanessa Walker, of the Rotary Club of Fishguard and Goodwick. Outgoing president Emyr Williams welcomed the incoming president and wished him every success during his forthcoming year of office. He thanked everyone for their support during the past successful year, which had enabled the club to support local, national and international charities and good causes. Jonathan Davies expressed gratitude to the outgoing president. "It's a privilege and an honour to become president of Pembroke Rotary Club, which works so hard for our local community," he added. "We have an exciting programme of events planned for next year which will be both rewarding and enjoyable. I would like to thank everyone who works so hard to make Pembroke Rotary a success."
