Pembroke's annual RFC Carnival and Fete was a sunshine success on Saturday.

The procession around the town, led by Haverfordwest and St. David's ATC band, also included Uncle Sam's one-man circus, West Wales Academy of Dance, Vibe School of Dance.

Carnival Queen Holly Hayball and attendants Charlotte Gooding, Georgia-May Shiels, Hannah Greenwood and Chloe John all looked pretty as a picture.

Judges Liz (landlady of the Waterman's Arms) and Rose Blackburn, Town Crier, had a difficult job in choosing the winners.

Float winners were: 1. Knights of the Round Table; 2. Arthur Pendragon; 3. The Olympics. Others included Mrs. Brown's Boys.

Floats were entered by The Old Cross Saws, Gateway, The Tanyard, Family Affair.

Fancy dress: ring master, Merlin, circus lion, weightlifter.

Raffle winner (£100) was Mrs. Jayne Davies.

The parade ended at Crickmarren Field where the fun continued.

Haverfordwest and St. David's ATC band were fantastic and entertained with a few sessions on the field.

Also on the field, there was a display by West Wales Academy of Dance, under principal Melissa McNiffe, plus stalls including cakes, bottles, garden produce, RNLI, plus many more and games.

Thanks go to all supporters and members for donations of produce and raffle prizes.

See you all again next year on Saturday, July 13, 2013!
