Members of the Pembroke Probus Club, with their ladies, welcomed their counterparts from the Killay Probus Club, Swansea, last week.

The gathering took place at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, which kept everyone warm, dry and comfortably convivial before lunch.

This is the third time that the two clubs have met and the friendly success of the gatherings augurs well for the future.

Speeches were spontaneous, short and friendly and the hubbub of noise was that of folk having fun.

After lunch, the Killay Club visited Pembroke Castle and then were entertained 'royally' by George Lewis commentating on the murals in Pembroke Town Hall.

They left wanting more and it would seem that a future visit to the 'Carew Control Tower' is on the cards. It was a good day.
