An exciting new event is to be held in Pembroke in the lead-up to Christmas - a festive fun run around the town.

“Tenby has the Santa Run, Broad Haven has the Christmas Pudding Run, so Pembroke is going to have the ‘Jingle Jog’,” said a spokesperson this week.

Organised by the Friends of Golden Grove School, in conjunction with Pembroke Castle and the town council, the run is due to take place on Saturday, December 5.

It should be a fantastic community event, with entrants being encouraged to dress up as a Christmas character and prizes being awarded for the best fancy dress.

Everyone is welcome and entry fee is £2 per person or £5 per family.

Registration will be at Pembroke Castle at 9.15 am, with a parade through Main Street at 10 am, followed by the run and finish back at the castle.

“Let’s fill Pembroke Main Street with festive Christmas cheer,” added the spokesperson.
