Members of Pembroke Inner Wheel enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch at the Old King's Arms, Pembroke, last month.

Members were thanked for their contributions to the successful 'table-top' sales at the Friends of South Pembrokeshire Hospital and at Santa's Breakfast in Pembroke Town Hall.

The Inner Wheel's charity funds have received a healthy boost from these activities.

As the club does not hold a meeting in December, the Christmas charity cheque to the Friends of South Pembrokeshire was given to Sue Paterson-Jones, at this lunch.

Christmas charity cheques have also been given to The Anchorage who put the money towards the cost of their Christmas lunch at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby, and to Mencap Gardens, Stackpole.

Members were reminded that the Inner Wheel Day will be celebrated this Sunday with an 11 am church service at Stackpole Elidor Church followed by lunch at the Freshwater East Inn.

The next club meeting will be on January 28, at 2 pm, at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel.

The speakers will be Natalie Strain, Street Games and Andrew Scott-Davies, Pembroke Dock Cricket Club.
