There was plenty of 'Fun in the Park' to be had on Sunday when Pembroke Dock's annual Pembroke Dock Midsummer Festival began. Amongst those supporting the Midsummer Festival are Pembroke Dock Town Council, Pembroke Dock Memorial Park Group, Communities First and BAPTARA (Bush and Park Residents Association). Fun in the Park held in the Memorial Park, featured a Baptara BBQ, bouncy castles, rides, stalls, music and much more, with a pub quiz held at the First and Last to end the day. There were a number of events during the week including a Maritime walk and storytelling outside Pembroke Dock Library, on Monday, an item on 'Pembroke Dock through the Ages' the following day. Wednesday saw a strawberry tea held at the Anchorage and a Hancocks Yard to Hobbs Point walk, while Thursday featured the Encompass Open Day. The festival continues today (Friday) when The Dock's Got Talent - talent competition takes place at Pater Hall, at 7 pm, while tomorrow a street party in Dimond Street, featuring compere Neil Thomas, and a performance from the Vagrants Crew, as well as balloon modelling, face painting, will be held from 12 noon to 3 pm.
