Discussion about a delay in distributing a police response about the Pembroke Dock grant scheme complaint has been delayed until the New Year.
Last month Pembrokeshire County Council’s audit committee agreed to refer internal communications relating to the authoirty’s police complaint linked to investigations into the Pembroke Dock grant scheme irregularities, uncovered by Clr. Mike Stoddart.
The scrutiny committee was tasked with examining four elements – the five week delay in submitting the complaint to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, failure to tell councillors the response, the loss of a chance to appeal the decision and failure to inform the then chairman of the audit committee, Clr. Tony Baron.
Chairman of the corporate overview and scrutiny committee Clr. Brian Hall said at November 15’s meeting that the matter would be discussed at the January meeting.
He added that had there been a meeting next month it would have been on that agenda by January 24 was the next available opportunity.
Clr. Stoddart wanted his disappointment in the delay recorded.
